Save the Date – QuinkFair 2023 will be July 20 thru 24 in Central Virginia. Gates open on Thursday July 20 at 10am.  But please mark your calendars now and consider if you need rideshare support to make it to this event.

Do you want to do a workshop? Central to QuinkFair’s success over the past 3 festivals has been the content which has come from the people who did not organize the event.  This means if you think you want to create content and offer it we would encourage you to complete this workshop offering form.

Tickets Release Schedule:

Work exchangers contribute 8 hours of work total in exchange for this lower price (all attendees contribute 4 hours of volunteer work to support the event)

New Site and camping layout- QuinkFair is moving to a new site this year (still in central Virginia), and the general layout of the site and camping areas will be different than prior years. The site is located about a 15 minute drive from Exit 148 of I-64 in Louisa Virginia- 45 minutes from Charlottesville, 1 hour from Richmond, 2 hours from Washington, DC. QuinkFair 2023, 134 West Old Mountain Road, Louisa, VA 23093

One major change for 2023 is that the new site, while still in a beautiful rural wooded area, is much flatter and easier to navigate for both vehicles and humans. Another change is that the majority of our campsites are located away from the primary parking area. There will still be some car-side camping spots available, but the majority of sites are only accessible by walking trails (wagons/carts will be available to help you move your gear from the drop-off spot to your site). RV parking will be adjacent to car-side camping (as opposed to the main tent area).

Scholarship Fund: We’ll be offering scholarship tickets for 2023- a few for free, others at a reduced cost. The specifics of this year’s program, including the application form, will be available around May 1, 2023. As in years past, your donations help us offer more scholarships and to co-create a more vibrant, diverse, equitable, and inclusive festival. Donations can be made when purchasing your tickets via Eventbrite, or contact us for other options to contribute via Paypal, Venmo, Zelle, or bank transfer.

State of the Festival – We are in pretty great shape, we are earlier in planning than any of the previous QuinkFairs. Qe have many more disorganizers involved this year and we have a number of ways to make the event even better than past years. But more help is always appreciated- please get in touch if you’d like to help dream up and plan the big stuff or want to volunteer for a more specific task. We are especially looking for people to help in the virtual world of promoting the event, seeking workshop and artistic talent, and developing and promoting equity scholarships. Write to QuinkFair@gmail.com

Volunteer:  QuinkFair needs your help getting off the ground before the event, keeping things running during the event, and cleaning up after the event. This is both part of our self sustaining culture and how we keep costs down for the festival, and we ask all participants to contribute 4 hours work.
